I play chess since 1983, and this for various clubs, most of which have a a website now: SC Therwil for which I play in the second national league (Nationalliga B), Wollishofen where I am member of team playing in the first league (1. Bundesliga).

During the last couple of years, I started a project to implement a chess library in Java. It is called Chesspresso™ and available at chesspresso.org and SourceForge.

When in need of a strong opponent, your best start is the free program Crafty or study the long list of chess programs at the Swedish Chess Computer Association SSDF and buy one.

When online is your choice, go to FreeChess. My handle there is "BerniMan".
