Atlas Syndrome
(10.8.2023) Here come two paintings for a poem, respectively a poem for two paintings. The two paintings are by me (as is the poem), the painting of Atlas below is by Guercino.

Atlas Syndrome (10.8.2023)
I have tried to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders,
But the world did turn into a balloon, and carried me away.
Why wanting to carry the weight of the world on one’s shoulders?
Who wants to do that anyway? Is it fun to carry the weight of the world,
Perhaps wistling?
Does one have to do that? Is it respectful?
Does the world wants you to do that
(with your own dirty little fingers)?
Are you able to carry the weight of one single bird?
With the bird singing? Or
Without the bird singing?
Are you able to carry the weight of just one single
Grasshopper? Really? (Are you experienced with that?)
Are you able to carry the weight of one single word?
And what word would be that? And what weight? And for whom?
