I
Serra, Wenkenpark
Steely cubes, perhaps
Peripatetic
They seem to greet the visitor, familiar, this time
It’s in the fall, not in the summer, cubes
Seemingly moving,
Downwards they come, down from the grassy hill,
To meet the wanderer, the regular
Visitor, the viewer, down at the path.
Oak leaves, some cluster of
Oak leaves remind me of a crab, the light is
Warm, a luminous November day, nobody
Here, as it appears, but suddenly, a bird, surely a
Predator, the watchbird of this scenery, perhaps, the visitor
Unvolutarily did scare the predator away. The cubes
Unmoved now, static, the oak crab, yet,
Has slightly moved away, it seems, but hardly do I feel
A breeze. It’s early afternoon, time
To move on.
II
Arrestment of a
Horse thief, the banquet is not
Disturbed, the pond (no trespassing if frozen)
Is awaiting winter as the steely cubes do.
Two scenes of a feast, by Pirosmani, down at Beyeler Foundation.
But at the park above,
A scenery of bear hunt, the animal
Walking on its hind legs as if
Dancing, the cubes moving, stable, now
Moving again. The banquet silently
Continuing down
At the museum.
Way back home by passing landscapes of fairground
Attractions, a trophy panda bear (but missed).
